Algo me dicen tus ojos....

The very first time I heard Susana Harp's voice it went right into my flesh and bones...magical deep voice. Love it. How she sings, what she sings...healing voice.

And of couse Mr Henestrosa's poem sounds wonderful sung by her.

PS. you guessed right, I was thinking about those brown eyes..jeje

A Character

I marvel how Nature could ever find space
For so many strange contrasts in one human face:
There's thought and no thought, and there's paleness and bloom
And bustle and sluggishness, pleasure and gloom.

There's weakness, and strength both redundant and vain;
Such strength as, if ever affliction and pain
Could pierce through a temper that's soft to disease,
Would be rational peace--a philosopher's ease.
There's indifference, alike when he fails or succeeds,
And attention full ten times as much as there needs;
Pride where there's no envy, there's so much of joy;
And mildness, and spirit both forward and coy.

There's freedom, and sometimes a diffident stare
Of shame scarcely seeming to know that she's there,
There's virtue, the title it surely may claim,
Yet wants heaven knows what to be worthy the name.

This picture from nature may seem to depart,
Yet the Man would at once run away with your heart;
And I for five centuries right gladly would be
Such an odd such a kind happy creature as he.

I love zuccini bread

Since the very first time I tasted it....loooong time ago back to the times when Mom baked....

Yesterday afternoon I had a craving for zuccini bread. So when we got home, went directly to the fridge.....only to discover theres was was only one zuccini left. Obviously I wasn't going to give up. Looked up for a recipe that would call for just one cup zuccini...and voilà I found a muffin recepie. Trying a new recepie is always fun, though sometimes one can get nasty surprises...not this time, they are yummy ;P

mmmmm moisty!

here's the recipe:

Preheat oven at 375 F
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar ( I prefer brown sugar w/ zuccini)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup schredded zuccini
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

In bowl mix oil+sugar+eggs.
Then add zuccini+flour+ b. soda +b.powder
After everything has blended up,add nuts.

Fill cups 3/4 and bake for 20 min or until golden

Enjoy!

Week's song

TEACH YOUR CHILDREN
by Graham Nash

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good bye.

Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they pick, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love yo
For some days now, this song has been humming in my head. Grew up with it matter of factly, rooted in the heart and with some new meanings these weird family days...

Searching an answer

I've decided to open a new blog. I wont be updating too often cause its bout my creativity projects, as they take some time it'll be hard to update it frequently.

The thing is, Im searching for an answer; an answer science hasnt given me yet. Though I dont regret studing what i did, beyond that I loove Biology, there's always something missing. Dunno exactly what it is nor where or when shall I find it , but certainly I want to engage myself into this quest.

In hope of your company I leave here Eärwen's creativity urges

I wanted to name it "Ithildin weaving" , but i find it far too pretentious. Ithildin was the magical substance made by elves from mithril and could only be seen by the reflected light of the moon and stars. Gandalf translated it as "starmoon" ...remeber the door of Durin at Moria in LOTR? well those inscriptions were made with Ithildin. Maybe, when I acquire some more experience, maybe then I'll change the name...

Dogs are miracles with paws. ~Attributed to Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy

I think we are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we might be if we weren't certain we knew better. They fight for honor at the first challenge, make love with no moral restraint, and they do not for all their marvelous instincts appear to know about death. Being such wonderfully uncomplicated beings, they need us to do their worrying. ~George Bird Evans, Troubles with Bird Dogs
