Papa Beto last sunday

Well, Elendil and I took off to PapaBeto Jazz Bistro last sunday. Supposedly a jam was to take place between the students of some College ensemble and whomever else wanted to play. It turned out to be some american college and UDLA's highschool students and else...

There were a lot of students (specially the mexican ones )bluffin' and moving round with their clarinets and so but not playing just (literally) showing off hahaha. The heads of all these guys that didnt care much for the music as much as how they looked playing, kept on getting in my pics!! argh

Though I recon there were really good momentsof good music, and did have a nice time there. The kid on the piano had it and the guy on the DB amazed me cause there was no other to play so he kept on and on and on.... Local musicians (as always) took the stage and kicked ass along side american teachers. Good stuff.

ooiii dont even mention the food, I should say again.. as always was finger-liking DankeShöen!!!

Lef the place round 9pm cause I still had so much to finish back home (sic).

Voces del Jazz

Ciclo voces del jazz del 2 al 24 de febrero en la Plaza de las Artes del CeNArt. Para los que siempre me preguntan cual es la plaza de las artes: entrando del lado del teatro (Tlalpan y Churubusco) caminan derechito pasan la plaza de la danza, el aula magna y al ladito antes de llegar a la fuente. Ahora si llegan del lado de los cines y la escuela de musica pues hacen el recorrido contrario la plaza de las artes esta adelantito de la fuente.

Pueden consultar la cartelera de Voces del Jazz y todo lo demas que ofrecen para este mes.

Una Sonrisa

Una sonrisa no cuesta nada y en cambio cuanto da. Enriquece a quien la recibe sin empobrecer a quien la otorga. Una sonrisa es cosa de un momento y sin embargo casi siempre perdura en la memoria.

Nadie hay que sea tan rico ni poderoso que pueda pasarse sin una sonrisa, ni nadie tan pobre que no pueda ser enriquecido con una sonrisa. Crea y protege la buena suerte en los negocios y es la insignia más preciada de la amistad.

Brinda descanso al fatigado, entusiasmo al abatido, alegría la triste , y el el mejor antídoto natural que existe contra las dificultades.

Sin embrago, la sonrisa no puede ser comprada , mendigada, ni tampoco se puede pedir como un préstamo, porque es un don que no tiene valor, sino hasta que se prodiga espontáneamente.

Hay seres tan cansados de la vida que ya no pueden otorgar sonrisas. Démosles a ellos una de las nuestras, porque no hay nadie que más lo necesite, que aquellos que aquellos que ya no tienen nada que ofrecer.
